The actual homeowners who live along the course purchased the Kiahuna Golf Course. In 2003 they struck a deal and have set out to provide the best services possible to the public. Robert Trent Jones Jr designed the course. It is a 6885-yard par-70 course with an abundance of water hazards and bunkers. The staff has been commended for keeping the course in great shape. Princeville at Hanalei is a facility that offers 45-holes of golf. Robert Trent Jones designed both of the courses. The Prince Course is an 18-Hole course named after the son of King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma. The Makai Course is made up of 3 9-hole courses- the Ocean, Wood and Lake Courses. Each is named after the dominant feature of the terrain. Jones’ goal was to provide a strategically challenging game of golf in the midst of a course that takes full advantage of all the natural features of the landscape. It has consistently ranked in the top course for Hawaii and the nation in many of the articles. Golf Digest has ranked the Prince Course Hawaii’s #1 course. It is a complicated links design with attitude! Unlike other links courses it offers more challenge than most with its 5 tee boxes. The par-72 7309-yard course gives the golfer a chance to play 300 feet above the Pacific Ocean. There your adventure takes you down terrain that rolls past forested areas and rough ravines. You are sure never to forget this game of golf! The Makai Course is also set up to challenge every aspect of your game. With the 3 different areas you can test your skills in many combinations!
