The Wild Wing Plantation is actually four courses that form a 63-hole facility.The Avocet Course At Wild Wing Plantation was designed by the team of golf architects Jeff Brauer and Larry Nelson. Located in Conway, SC, the course features many unique characteristics. When it first in 1994 it was considered one of the “Best New Courses in America. It continues to receive rave reviews because of its unique golfing qualities. The first hole has features sports grass depressions around the greens. The ninth hole has a double fairway divided by a line of grass and deep sand pot bunkers. Other holes use unique contouring, elevated tees and greens, and one green that is split to service two holes.
The Avocet Course at Wild Wing Plantation is an 18-hole regulation length golf course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This championship layout plays quite long from the back tees. Modestly difficult, the golf course definitely rewards good shots and will sometimes be forgiving of bad ones. There are 3 other courses at this same golf club, the Falcon Course, the Hummingbird Course, and the Woodstork Course. Online tee times may be available at Wild Wing Plantation or at nearby golf courses, often at a substantial discount from the going green fees rate.
