The Wild Wing Plantation is actually four courses that form a 63-hole facility.The Avocet Course At Wild Wing Plantation was designed by the team of golf architects Jeff Brauer and Larry Nelson. Located in Conway, SC, the course features many unique characteristics. When it first in 1994 it was considered one of the “Best New Courses in America. It continues to receive rave reviews because of its unique golfing qualities. The first hole has features sports grass depressions around the greens. The ninth hole has a double fairway divided by a line of grass and deep sand pot bunkers. Other holes use unique contouring, elevated tees and greens, and one green that is split to service two holes.
The Woodstork Course at Wild Wing Plantation opened in 1991 and was designed by Willard C. Byrd. This park-like course pays attention to wildlife conservation by using the natural vegetation and resources to create a unique experience. The first eight holes go through natural wetlands and the remaining ten through a majestic pine forest. Online tee times may be available at Wild Wing Plantation or at nearby golf courses, often at a substantial discount from the going green fees rate.
