Believe it or not, Nebraska is the home to some of the greenest golf courses in America. The Omaha and other Eastern Nebraska areas have many great courses, including the 27-hole Tiburon Golf Club, a Dave Barrett/Larry Hagewood design. Nebraska may not have the rugged contour, tropical vegetation or grand views of some of America’s courses, but it has an opportunity to enjoy golf in unique ways. Eighteen of the state's courses offer sand greens. These are a throwback to a time when golf did not have the modern irrigation techniques.
