The Sea Trail Golf Resort at Sunset Beach, NC, is located north of Myrtle Beach, SC. The facility is a full service destination complete with hotel accomadations,shopping, two clubhouses and the Museum of Coastal Carolina’s Ingram Planetarium. There are actually three courses located at the facility offering a variety of challenges for all golfing skills.
The Willard Byrd Course at Sea Trail Resort opened in 1990 and was extensively renovated in 1999. The result is a golf course that is built around two man-made lakes.Noted for its difficulty, each hole requires a great deal of precision in the short and long game shots. Strategically placed teeshots are required, as well as good course management. The undulating greens are Bermuda grass. The clubhouse is shared with the Jones course. Online tee times may be available at Sea Trail Golf Links or at nearby golf courses, often at a substantial discount from the going green fees rate.
