The Sea Trail Golf Resort at Sunset Beach, NC, is located north of Myrtle Beach, SC. The facility is a full service destination complete with hotel accomadations,shopping, two clubhouses and the Museum of Coastal Carolina’s Ingram Planetarium. There are 2 other courses at this same golf club, the Byrd Course, and the Jones Course.
The Don Maples Golf Course at Sea Trail Resort was the first of the courses to open at the resort. It opened in 1986 and has the most natural habitat with wildlife in abundance! The course layout positions five holes along the Calabash Creek with towering Carolina Pines and twisted oaks. There are a large number of waste bunkers- one of which lies along the full length of one of the holes. The greens were recently redone with A1/ A4 blended Bent grass. This course, along with the Jones Course and the Byrd Course, form one of the premier golf facilities in the area. Online tee times may be available at Sea Trail Golf Links or at nearby golf courses, often at a substantial discount from the going green fees rate.
